Membership

 

Building and maintaining a beautiful garden, large or small, is an adventure not to be missed. Why not start today? The Ku-ring-gai Horticultural Society Inc. provides a welcome to those who enjoy sharing gardening experiences and want to learn more about gardens and plants.

Our members are a diverse group of enthusiasts ranging from beginners seeking knowledge and experience to those who have had a lifetime in gardening and horticulture. There are also members who are no longer able to garden but retain their enthusiasm and passion.

Membership Fees 

The annual membership fees are currently $25 for a single and $35 for a family membership. This fee covers membership, insurance, 11 monthly newsletters that are full of news and gardening tips, hall hire plus supper at the meetings.

Volunteers 

The smooth running of our Society relies on a band of volunteers who help out with jobs such as serving the supper at the meeting, setting up and taking down the Show Bench, assisting at the welcome table and giving out of name badges, selling raffle tickets and helping on the Garden Table and the Trading Table when they are in operation. Volunteers are also needed to assist with fund raising events such as propagating and selling plants and participating in the annual Bunnings Sausage Sizzle. As a new member, volunteering is a great way to get to know the other members.
